Background

 

This guide refers to the setup and configuration of a signature for Windows Live Email . If you're not familiar with SecureSync or require additional background information, please view our Getting Started with SecureSync Article before proceeding.


Creating Your Signature
(Windows Live Email for Windows)

In Windows Live Email select the File option, then select Options, and then Mail.



Select Signatures and then click on the New button.



A new signature field will open up where in Edit Signature you can paste the following text.

Please note that the Challenge question cannot be more than 150 characters long and the Response can be no more than 50 characters long.

You can type in your own text for the Challenge and Response. What is currently in there is for example purposes.

With the signature selected you can click on Rename to change the name of the signature.

You can put this either before or after your signature.



Click on Apply when done.

When composing a new email please make sure you select your Sync account in the From list (if it is not already there) before sending it out.



If you have more than one signature you can change the signature while composing an email by clicking on Insert and selecting the option for Signature.
